A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
ESTABLISHING AND SETTING FORTH THE DUTIES OF THE
COUNTRY CLUB ADVISORY BOARD OF THE VILLAGE;
ESTABLISHING THE INTERRELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE
COUNTRY CLUB ADVISORY BOARD, VILLAGE COUNCIL
AND VILLAGE MANAGER; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Council has enacted Ordinance Number 04-99 amending
various sections of Article II., Country Club Advisory Board, of Chapter 9, Country Club, of the
Code of Ordinances of the Village, including Section 9-21, Duties, which provides that the duties of
the Country Club Advisory Board shall be set forth by Resolution; and
• WHEREAS, the Village Council is des'vous of establishing and setting forth the duties of the
Country Club Advisory Board and establishing the interrelationship between the Country Club
Advisory Board, Village Council and Village Manager.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The duties of the Country Club Advisory Board shall be as follows:
(1) Review annually and update rules and regulations for club use (golf
course, driving range, clubhouse, pool and tennis)
(2) Membership criteria approvals
(3) Special events approval. The Village Council reserves the right to
• change or add to special events.
(4) Establish and amend rules as to tee times
• (5) Membership request concerns
(6) Recommendations to Council on policies
' (7) Recommendations to Village Manager on administration and
operation
(8) Cancellation of membership
(9) Review Country Club budget and make recommendations to the
Village Council
(10) Review and make recommendations to the Village Council as to
contracts
Section 2 The Village Council shall have the following rights and duties as to the
Country Club Advisory Board.
• (1) All policy approval/oversight
(2) Board appointments and removal
(3) Final budget authority
(4) Contract approvals
(5) Override authority on special events
Section 3. The Village Manager shall have the following rights and duties as to
the Country Club Advisory Board:
(1) Personnel (including Club Administrator)
(2) Finance/budgeting
(3) Vehicle, grounds and building maintenance
