ROLL CALL
Mayor Norris called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. All members of Council were present
except for Vice Mayor Bickel who was unable to attend. All members of staff were present.
RESOLUTION 2023-28 —SECOND AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT FOR HERITAGE DAY RIDES
A motion was made by Councilmember Mullinix and seconded by Councilmember Searcy to adopt
Resolution 2023-28 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT WITH
BIG FUN, INC. TO PROVIDE AMUSEMENT RIDES FOR HERITAGE DAY 2023 AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO EXECUTE THE SECOND
AMENDMENT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Director of Leisure Services Zak Sherman explained the purpose of the resolution. The resolution
would amend the contract with Big Fun, Inc. to include three (3) additional rides and increase the
compensation to $75,860 for Heritage Day 2023.
Councilmember Searcy recommended raising the price of Heritage Day tickets for the next year.
Mayor Norris recommended getting more participation or sponsorship from local businesses.

Discussion ensued between Councilmembers and staff regarding ideas for new ticket prices, business
sponsorship and Village logo items that can be sold at events.
Thereafter, the motion to adopt Resolution 2023-28 passed with all present voting aye.

There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 11:08 a.m.
