RESOLUTION NO. 43-97
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, APPROVING AND ENDORSING THE
CONCEPT AND EFFORTS OF THE LAKE
WORTH LAGOON ECOSYSTEM MANAGEMENT
AREA TEAM TO ADVANCE THE RESTORATION
OF THE LAKE WORTH LAGOON; APPOINTING
A REPRESENTATIVE AND ALTERNATE
REPRESENTATIVE TO THE STEERING
COMMITTEE OF THE MANAGEMENT AREA
TEAM; ENDORSING AND APPROVING THE
LAKE WORTH LAGOON PARTNERSHIP
AGREEMENT ATTACHED AS EXHIBIT "A";
' AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section i. The Village Council of the Village of North
Palm Beach, Florida, does hereby approve and endorse the concept
and efforts of the Lake Worth Lagoon Ecosystem Management Area
team to advance the restoration of the Lake Worth Lagoon.
Section 2. The Village Council does hereby appoint the
following representative and alternate representative to the
Steering Committee of the Management Area Team:
Representative: Charles R. O'MBilia
Alternate
Representative: Tom HOgarth

Section 3. The Village Council of the Village of North
Palm Beach, Florida, does hereby endorse and approve the Lake Worth
Lagoon Partnership Agreement attached as Exhibit "A"
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately

we, the members of the Lake Worth Lagoon Ecosystem Management
Area Team, have been empowered by our agencies and organizations to
expeditiously advance the restoration of the Lake Worth Lagoon. We
pledge to make this effort one of our highest work priorities and
to set the needs of the team above individual goals.
We recognize the necessity and importance of completing our
mission quickly and efficiently, making effective use of our
collective resources to ensure the highest quality results.
We are committed to open communication, joint problem-solving,
and teamwork to accomplish the following goals:
- Maintain a positive partnership/team approach
at all levels

- Establish a general problem-solving process
- Establish effective means of communication with
and between partner organizations as well as
others
- Facilitate interagency information exchange
We, the project team members, do hereby commit ourselves to
work together through mutual trust and respect and to cooperate in
all matters which affect this project. We believe that only
through this spirit of teamwork can we successfully advance the
restoration of the Lake Worth Lagoon.
