RESOLUTION NO. ~~ 97
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
URGING THE INSURANCE COMMISSIONER OF THE
STATE OF FLORIDA TO REVIEW AND AMEND
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR INSURANCE
COVERAGE, INCLUDING RATES, FOR ALL TYPES
OF INSURANCE OVER WHICH THE INSURANCE
COMMISSIONER HAS JURISDICTION AND
CONTROL; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
VILLAGE CLERK TO FURNISH CERTIFIED COPIES
OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Council has been concerned with the lack
• of availability of insurance coverages and the cancellation of
insurance policies that affects the citizens and residents of the
Village of North Palm Beach; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council urges the Insurance Commissioner
of the State of Florida to make a comprehensive review of all
policies under its jurisdiction and control.
BR IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Village Council of the Village of North
Palm Beach , Florida, urges the Insurance Commissioner of the State
of Florida to review and amend the policies and procedures for all
insurance coverages under the jurisdiction and control of the

nsurance, health insurance and high wind insurance
for all residents of the State of Florida.
• Section 2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to furnish a certified copy of this Resolution to the
Insurance Commissioner of the State of Florida, Board of County
Commissioners of Palm Beach County and the Palm Beach Delegation to
the Florida Legislature.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
