A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO ENTER
INTO AN AMENDMENT TO THE RECREATION
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE VILLAGE AND BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF PALM BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, DATED AUGUST 20, 1996, BY
INCREASING THE FUNDING FROM
$50,000.00 TO 100,000.00; AND,
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM

BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Village Council of the Village of North
Palm Beach, Florida, does hereby approve the amendment attached as
Exhibit "A" to the Recreation Assistance Program between the
Village and Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County,
Florida dated August 20, 1996.
Section 2. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the amendment with the Board of
County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida set forth in
Exhibit "A" for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.

RE: AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR LIGHTING AT THE NORTH
PALM BEACH COMMUNITY CENTER ATHLETIC FIELDS
Dear Mr. Kelley:
Attached is the fully executed Amendment to the existing Recreation
Assistance Program Agreement for 550,000 for the installation of
lighting at the North Palm Beach Community Center multi-use athletic
fields. The Amendment provides an additional 550,000, from the 525.3
Million Parks Improvement Revenue Bond, for a total project allocation of
5100,000.
The project completion date as specified in the Agreement is February
19, 1998. The project must be complete,.paid for, and all reimbursement
requests submitted to this office by th:#t date. In the event that the
project will not be finalized by that date, a request for project extension
should be submitted to me by December 15, 1997.

• FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN
PALM BEACH COUNTY AND THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH
THIS FIRST AMSNDMSNT TO AGRSSMSNT is entered into this
day of MAY' 2 0 1997 1996 , by and between Palm Beach
County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida,
hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY", and the Village of North Palm
Beach, a Florida municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as
"NORTH PALM BEACH".
W I T N E 8 S E T H:
WHEREAS, on August 20, 1996, COUNTY entered into an Agreement
with NORTH PALM BEACH (R-96-1050-D) to provide funding of up to
$50,000 for lighting at the North Palm Beach Community Center
athletic fields; and
WHEREAS, COUNTY desires to provide additional funds of up to
$50,000 from the $25.3 Million Parks Improvement Revenue Bond for
North Palm Beach Community Center athletic field lighting, which
will benefit all citizens of Palm Beach County; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, the parties hereby agree a8 follows:
• 1. Paragraph 1 of the Agreement shall be amended by deletina
"$50,000" and insertina "$100,000" in its place.
2. Except as provided herein, each and every other term of
the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect and the
Agreement is reaffirmed as modified herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties, by and through their duly
authorized agents, have hereunto set their hands and seals on the
date indicated above.
