A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF
HAAS, DIAZ & CU. TO RENEW THE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE AND
HAAS, DIAZ & CO. ATTACHED AS EXHIBIT
"A", WHICH AGREEMENT PROVIDES FOR AN
AUDIT OF THE VILLAGE'S GENERAL
PURPOSE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30,
1997; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL, OF NORTH PALM
. BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Village Council of. the Village of Dlorth
Palm Beach, Florida, does hereby accept the offer of Haas, Diaz &
Co. to renew the agreement between the Village and Haas, Diaz & Co.
attached as Exhibit "A", which agreement provides for an audit of
the Village's General Purpose Financial Statements for the fiscal
year ending September 30, 1997.
Section 2_ This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.

Re: Agreement to Provide for an Audit of the Village's
General-Purpose Financial Statements for the Fiscal
Year Ending September 30, 1997
Members of the Council:
Pursuant to Article 2.1 of the contract executed between The Village of North Palm Beach, Florida
and Haas, Diaz & Co., CPA on March 14, 1996, we wish to give notice of our intent to renew this
contract to include the audit of the general-purpose financial statements of the Village for the fiscal
year ending September 30, 1997.
• Further, Article 7.1 of the agreement allows for an adjustment of the fee in accordance with the
U.S. Consumer Price Index, or 5%, whichever is less. The percentage increase in the Consumer
Price Index for all urban consumers between December 1995 and December 1996, was 3.32%.
Our requested contract fee for the services defined in Article 3 shall then be based on the lesser
of (a) the actual time required at our standard billing rates for the level of personnel providing the
service or (b) $19,434. Our standard billing rates remain the same as those stated in the contract.
All other terms and conditions under our agreement dated March 14, 1996, will remain the same
except for time schedules which will be adjusted for the passage of a year.
