POST-MAX/MUM /NCENTNE The maximums of the recommended pay ranges are the oint where an P employee's pay progression usually stops. This marks the place where the "worth" of the. position, according to the market place and comparable jobs, have reached Its' limit. However, many agencies feel some type of pay Incentives past this maximum point are necessary to continue the productivity of the individual at an acceptable level. We feel there is some merit to this practice and have seen most agencies in the survey sampled, utilizing some .. form of an Incentive. r ~. We are recommending a valid merit bonus program for your consideration and Implementation. 1. When the individual has reached the m of the pay range, they will be eligible for a merit type Increase annually. This Increase will be alum s ~m payment and wo not be added to the individual's base pay. This bonus type arrangement has the effect of not compounding salary or fringe benefit costs and limits the overall short and long term impact on the Village's budget. It also helps in the retention of produc- five long term employees. 14 LIST OF EMPLOYEES EXCEEDING MINIMUM -MAXIMUM SALARY SCHEDULE (NAGE &NON-UNION) 19987 MAXIMUM SALARY CURRENT HOURLY RATE RANGE PER EMPLOYEE NAME TITLE SERVICE HRATEY IRAISE IPER HOUR PER HOUR O HOURER NAGE Gurlester Betk, Jr. Willie Harris Driver Driver 24 13.958 14.616 14.365 0.151 Patricia Sohar Account Clerkll 28 21 13.958 14 542 14.b16 14.365 0.151 Jimmie Dunklin G.C.
