RESOLUTION NO. 56-96
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING
AN EVALUATION AND APPRAISAL REPORT FOR THE
VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE "LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING
AND LAND DEVELOPMENT ACT," BEING SECTIONS
163.3161 ET. SEQ., FLORIDA STATUTES, ATTACHED
AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
VILLAGE STAFF TO TRANSMIT THIS RESOLUTION AND
ACCOMPANYING REPORT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR SUFFICIENCY REVIEW; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
• WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 163.3161, et. seq., Florida
Statutes, the "Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land
Development Regulations Act, the Village of North Palm Beach is
required to periodically prepare and adopt an Evaluation and
Appraisal Report to evaluate the effectiveness of the Comprehensive
Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission acting as the local planning
agency held an advertised public hearing on July 2, 1996, and
recommended approval of the Evaluation and Appraisal Report; and
wHEREAS, the Village Council held a public hearing on August
22, 1996, to consider the Evaluation and Appraisal Report; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that the evaluation and
• appraisal report has been prepared consistent and in accordance
with Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, and Rule 9 J-5, Florida

Administrative Code, and that such report will ensure that the plan
continues to provide sufficient guidance to the Village regarding
land development decisions.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Village Council of the Village of North

Palm Beach, Florida, pursuant to Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, and
Rule 9 J-5, Florida Administrative Code, hereby adopts the
Evaluation and Appraisal Report of the Village of North Palm Beach
Florida, which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part
hereof.
Section 2. The Village Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to transmit the adopted Evaluation and Appraisal Report of
the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, to the Florida Department
of Community Affairs for sufficiency determination.
Section 3. This Resolution together with Exhibit "A"
shall be transmitted to the Department of Community Affairs prior
to September 1, 1996.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
