A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ENDORSING AND
SUPPORTING AS A SPECIAL EVENT THE HOLIDAY BOAT
PARADE TO BE HELD ON THE INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY
BETWEEN BLUE HERON BRIDGE AND THE JUPITER
LIGHTHOUSE ON OR ABOUT DECEMBER 7, 1996; AND,
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Optimist Clubs of Palm Beach County and the
Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County, Inc. are
sponsoring a holiday boat parade which is to travel from the
vicinity of Blue Heron Bridge north on the Intracoastal Waterway to
Jupiter Lighthouse on or about December 7, 1996; and
• WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of North Palm
Beach is desirous of endorsing this activity as a special event and
to participate in the planning and execution of the event;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Village Council of the Village of North
Palm Beach, Florida, does hereby endorse as a special event the
holiday boat parade to be held on or about December 7, 1996, on the
Intracoastal waterway from the vicinity of Blue Heron Bridge north
to the Jupiter Lighthouse.
Section 2. The Village Council does hereby authorize the
Village and its staff to participate•in the planning and execution
of the holiday boat parade and to furnish its residents with
• information concerning the parade including the date, time and
• public places available for viewing the event.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
