t A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, URGING
THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE TO ENACT A LAW SIMILAR TO THE "CONGRESSIONAL
ACCOUNTABILITY ACT OF 1995" PASSED BY THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS, IN ORDER
TO SUBJECT THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE TO THE SAME LAWS IT IMPOSES ON OTHER
PERSONS OR ENTITIES.
WHEREAS, the United States Congress has passed the "Congressional Accountability Act of 1995"; and
WIIEREAS, this Act generally subjects Congress to certain laws that it imposes on other persons or
entities; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Florida should enact a law similar to the "Congressional
Accountability Act of 1995", in order to subject the Florida Legislature to the same laws it imposes on
other persons or entities; and
WIIEREAS, the Village Council of North Palm Beach, Florida urges the Senate and the House of
Representatives of the State of Florida to enact similar legislation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
' Section 1. The Village Council of North Palm Beach, Florida urges the Legislature of the State
of Florida to enact a law similar to the "Congressional Accountability Act of 1995", in order to subject
the Florida Legislature to the same laws that it imposes on other persons or entities.
Section 2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to furnish a copy of this
Resolution to the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
