DORIS ITALIAN MARKET & BAKERY 75TH ANNIVERSARY
WHEREAS, Doris Italian Market & Bakery has proudly served generations of families in South Florida since
1947; and
WHEREAS, Doris Italian Market & Bakery began as a small mom and pop meat market and deli and has
evolved into South Florida's premier family-owned specialty supermarket; and
WHEREAS, Doris Italian Market & Bakery expanded into North Palm Beach in 2016; and
WHEREAS, customers enjoy a comfortable shopping experience with personal customer service and very
competitive prices of top quality foods; and
WHEREAS, the 22,000 -square -foot location in North Palm Beach is the largest and most unique of the five
Doris Italian Market locations in South Florida; and
WHEREAS, at Doris' you'll find top quality fresh meats, authentic Italian -American deli, farm fresh fruits
and vegetables, seafood department with daily fresh offerings, Italian -American bakery with an assortment -of
goods baked daily, a complete catering service offering premium selections, wine department featuring a
collection of wines from around the world and gourmet specialty groceries used for the finest recipes; and
WHEREAS, in North Palm Beach, you'll also find two bocce ball courts, an outdoor cafe, a wine tasting
machine, craft beers, coffee bar and cheeses from around the world as well as a number of authentic, made-to-
order products including pizzas, gelato and desserts that are made fresh daily on site and a homemade
mozzarella station; and
WHEREAS, Doris Italian Market & Bakery is supportive of non-profit organizations in the local communities
they serve. Every October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month Doris' raises funds for breast cancer
initiatives selling their signature pink and white cookies; and
WHEREAS, Doris Italian Market & Bakery is celebrating 75 years of serving the South Florida community.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Deborah Searcy, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Village of
North Palm Beach, Florida, do hereby proclaim 2022, as
DORIS ITALIAN MARKET & BAKERY 75TH ANNIVERSARY
