A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL
OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A MEMORIAL
COMMITTEE TO COORDINATE AND
FACILITATE THE APPLICATION OF FUNDS
DONATED IN MEMORY OF A DECEASED
FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND AND TO
SPONSOR AND COORDINATE MEMORIAL
FUNDS THAT PERSONS ARE DESIROUS OF
ESTABLISHING WITHIN THE VILLAGE; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of North Palm
Beach is desirous of establishing a memorial committee to
coordinate and facilitate application of funds donated in memory of
a deceased family member or friend and for the purpose of
' sponsoring and coordinating memorial funds that persons are
desirous of establishing within the Village.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Village Council of the Village of North
Palm Beach, Florida, does hereby establish a memorial committee to
be composed of the following individuals:
1. A family member or a person designated by the family
member for the purpose of representing the interests of
the family or friends for whom the fund is established.
2. The Mayor or Councilperson designated by the Mayor.
3. The Village Manager.
4. The respective department head whose department would
be the recipient of such a contribution.
5. Chairman or member of the applicable advisory committee.
' Section 2. The committee shall meet as required with the
family and friends who have originated a memorial fund for the
purpose of determining the desires of such person as to the
memorial fund.
Section 3. If the memorial committee is unable to reach
agreement with the family and friends who have originated a
memorial fund, then the matter shall be referred to the Village
Council for final disposition.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately

upon its adoption.
