A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, URGING THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PALM
BEACH COUNTY TO REDUCE THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT FROM 40 MILES PER
HOUR TO 35 MILES PER HOUR ON THAT PORTION OF PROSPERITY FARMS ROAD
THAT LIES WITHIN THE INCORPORATED LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE VILLAGE CLERK TO FORWARD
A CERTIFIED COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of North Palm
Beach is desirous that the Board of County Commissioners of Palm
Beach County reduce the posted speed limit on Prosperity Farms Road
' that lies within the Village in order to protect, preserve and safe
guard the lives of all persons utilizing Prosperity Farms Road and
for the preservation of property.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Village Council of the Village of North
Palm Beach, urges the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach
County to reduce the posted speed limit from 40 miles per hour to
35 miles per hour on that portion of Prosperity Farms Road that
lies within the incorporated limits of the Village of North Palm
Beach.
Section 2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and
' directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the
Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County.

Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
