A RESOLUTION OF THS VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
ACCEPTING THE BID OF MURRAY LOGAN CONSTRUCTION, INC., WEST PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR SHORE SAND CONTAINMENT STRUCTURES FOR LAKESIDE
PARK EROSION CONTROL PROJECT IN TH8 AMOUNT OF X19,600.00, TO BE
EXPENDED FROM ACCOUNT NO. A0000-24791 (RESERVE); CONTINGENT UPON
PERMIT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bid of Murray Logan Construction, Inc., West
Palm Beach, Florida, a copy of which is attached to this
Resolution, is hereby accepted by the village of North Palm Beach
in accordance with its terms. The appropriate Village officials
are hereby directed to advise said bidder of this acceptance. The
monies are to be expended from Account No. A0000-24791(Reserve).
The award of this bid is contingent upon receipt of permit from the
' Department of Environmental Protection.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
passage.

Gentlemen:
The undersigned bidder has carefully examined the plans, specifi-
cations, the site of the proposed work and is familiar with the
nature and extent of the work and any local conditions that may
in any manner affec-t the work to be done and the equipment,
materials, and labor required.
The undersigned agrees to do all the work and furnish all
materials called for by said specifications, in the manner
prescribed therein and to the standards of quality and
performance established by the Engineer for the unit prices
and/or lump sum price stated in the spaces herein below provided,
for each of the items or combination of items stipulated. It is
understood that quantities shown in the schedule are approximate
only, subject to increase or decrease and for the purpose of bid
comparisons for determination of low bidder. It is further
understood that payment will be in accordance with actual
quantities placed in the construction.

The undersigned also agrees as "follows:
1. To do any extra work not covered by the above schedule of
prices which may be ordered by the Engineer upon authorization
by the Owner and to accept as full compensation therefor such
prices as°may be agreed upon in writing by the Engineer and the
Contractor in .accordance with Article 10 of the General
Conditions.
2. Within five days from the date of acceptance of this proposal
to execute the contract and furnish the Owner a satisfactory
performance and payment bond, complying with the statutory
requirements sat forth in Chapter 255, Florida Statutes, in
the sum of one hundred percent (100$) oP the amount of the
contract guaranteeing the faithful performance of the work and
payment of bills.
3. To begin work within ten calendar days after the date of
receipt by him of Notice to Proceed and to complete the work not
later than 20 December 1993.
4. To reimburse the Owner, as liquidated damages for each
calendar day elapsing between the date herein specified as the
date of full completion and the actual date of such full
completion of ,the contract work, the amount of $250.00 per
calendar day.
Accompanying this proposal is a certified or cashier's check or a
bid bond in the amount of $ S9 (not less than 5$ of
the bid) made payable to:' VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH which is
to be forfeited as liquidated damages, if, in the event this
proposal is accepted, the undersigned shall fail to execute the
contract and furnish satisfactory contract bond under the
conditions and within the time specified in the proposal;
otherwise said certified or cashier's check or bid bond is to be
returned to the undersigned.
Additionally, receipt of Addendum No. N q is acknowledged.
