A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING THE SECTIONS OF THE VILLAGE
CODE TO BE ENFORCED BY CIVIL CITATION AND ESTABLISHING A FINE
SCHEDULE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS AND THE REPEAL OF RESOLUTION
NOS. 2009-52 AND 2010-41; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Ordinance No. 2009-11 on September 10, 2009, the Village Council
adopted a new Article VII, "Alternate Method of Code Enforcement," of Chapter 2, "Administration," of the
Village Code of Ordinances to provide a procedure for the issuance and disposition of citations as an alternate
method of code enforcement; and
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Ordinance No. 2021-19 on November 18, 2021, the Village Council
updated and clarified the provisions applicable to the issuance of code enforcement citations and authorized
the issuance of citations by a park ranger for violations occurring within Village parks; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-254 of the Village Code, the Village Council wishes to update the
list of Code sections that may be enforced by civil citation and update the schedule of fines applicable to such
violations; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the interests of the
public health, safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby adopts the list of sections of the Village Code that may be
enforced through the issuance of civil citations as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein. The Village Council further adopts the fine schedule for civil citations as set forth
in Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 3. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict. Resolution No. 2009-52 and Resolution No. 2010-41 are hereby repealed
in their entirety.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
