A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE MACK MD7
GRAPPLE TRUCK FROM NEXTRAN CORPORATION D/B/A NEXTRAN
TRUCK CENTER PURSUANT TO PRICING ESTABLISHED IN AN EXISTING
FLORIDA SHERIFF'S ASSOCIATION CONTRACT; AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO TRANSFER $169,938
FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE SANITATION —
AUTOMOTIVE CAPITAL ACCOUNT; DECLARING ONE 2003 GRAPPLE
TRUCK AS SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING ITS DISPOSAL;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is requesting approval of the purchase of a 2022 Mack
Grapple Truck utilizing CIP funds; and
WHEREAS, Village Staff recommended the purchase of one 2022 Mack MD7 Grapple Truck from
Nextran Corporation d/b/a Nextran Truck Center pursuant to pricing established in an existing Florida
Sheriff's Association Contract for Heavy Trucks (Contract No. FSA20-VEH18.0 #62) and the surplus
of one existing 2003 Sterling Grapple Truck; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current capital projects fund budget to transfer
$169,938.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Sanitation — Automotive Capital Account to
fund the purchase of the equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best interests
of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of one 2022 Mack MD7 Grapple
Truck from Nextran Corporation d/b/a Nextran Truck Center pursuant to pricing established in an
existing Florida Sheriff's Association Contract for Heavy Trucks (Contract No. FSA20-VEH18.0
#62) at a total cost of $169,938.00, with funds expended from Account No. K7020-66410 (Sanitation
— Automotive).
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below and authorizes and directs the Mayor and
Village Clerk to execute the budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach:

Section 4. The Village Council hereby declares the following vehicle as surplus personal
property and authorizes its disposal in accordance with Village policies and procedures:
One 2003 Sterling Grapple Truck (VIN: 2FZAAKBV73AK88620).
Section 5. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 6. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
