A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A REGISTRATION
AND REGISTRATION RENEWAL FEE FOR VACATION RENTAL UNITS;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Ordinance No. 2021-14, the Village Council adopted a new
Section 45-40 of the Village Code of Ordinances establishing requirements and regulations for the
operation of vacation rental units within the Village; and
WHEREAS, Section 45-40(b)(2) of the Village Code provides that every vacation rental owner or
operator shall register with the Village by submitting the required registration form, along with a
registration fee in an amount prescribed by resolution of the Village Council; and
WHEREAS, Section 45-40(b)(3) of the Village Code provides for renewal of vacation rentals by
affidavit, along with a renewal fee in an amount prescribed by resolution of the Village Council; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to establish an annual registration fee and annual registration
renewal fee sufficient to cover the costs of administering the vacation rental registration program; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best interest
of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby establishes an annual vacation rental registration and
registration renewal fee of $600.00 per vacation rental unit.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
