' A RESOLUTION BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE "WE CARE" PROGRAM, IMPLEMENTING THE
"WE CARE" PROGRAM, AND URGING ALL THE RESIDENTS OF NORTH PALM
BEACH TO JOIN AND SUPPORT THE "WE CARE" AS PROVIDED AND
ADMINISTERED BY THE NORTH PALM BEACH DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
SAFETY.
WHEREAS, The North Palm Beach Department of Public
Safety is presenting tha new citizen involvement program
to be known as "We Care"; and
WHEREAS, the North Palm Beach Department of Public
Safety is prepared to initiate the "We Care" program in
support of the safety and protection of the residents of the
Village of North Palm Beach; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the "We Cara" program is to
encourage Village residents to meet frequently with the front
line Public Safety patrol officer so ae to mutually
understand what is necessary to combat potential crime in
residential areas; and
WHEREAS, initially, the front line patrol officers known
' as "Condo Copa" will establish and implement the "We Care"
program in various multifamily and condominium complexes; and
WHEREAS, in the near future, the "We Care" Civilian
Police Academy conducted by the Department of Public Safety
will include the training of residents in the complexity of
the criminal justice system;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Village Council hereby endorses and
supports the "We Care" program.
Section 2. The Village Council calls upon all residents
of theTage to become involved and participate in the "We
Care" program in order to provide better protection for
themselves, their property and their neighbors, and to take
full advantage of the protective services provided by the
North Palm Beach Department of Public Safety.
Section 3. That the North Palm Beach Department of
Public Safetyis hereby charged and challenged with the
responsibility of implementing the "We Care" program in an
effort to adequately provide for the health, safety and
welfare of the citizens of North Palm Beach, Florida.

Section 4. This Resolution shall take
upon passage.
