WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 72-8 provided funding for school crossing guards within the Village of North Palm Beach including crossing guards for children to cross county roads and county maintained roads within the municipal limits; and WHEREAS, the repeal of Ordinance No. 72-8 of Palm Beach County shall increase the danger school children face in crossing streets including county and county maintained roads and shall constitute a financial burden to the Village in providing such services. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Palrn Beach County, Florida, is strongly urged not to repeal Ordinance No. 72-8, which had provided funding by Palm Beach County for school crossing guards within municipalities. Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immedi- ately upon its adoption.
