GATIOtd NOT TO SUPPORT THE TRANSFER OF ALL ASSETS AND LIABILITIES
FRODI THE SOLID WASTE AUTIiORITY OF PALM BEACH COUNTY TO THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMI4ISSIONERS, AND NOT TO SUPPORT A RESTRUCTURING
OF THE SOLID iJASTE AUTIiORITY BOARD.
WHEREAS, the abolition or restructuring of the Solid
Waste Authority is clearly not in the best interest of a majority
of the people in Palm Beach County because it would not adequately
provide for municipal representation.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners is
strongly urged not to recommend any bill which repeals Chapter
75-473, Laws of Florida, or attempts to restructure the membership
balance of the Solid Waste Authority Board.
Section 2. The Legislative Delegation of Palm Beach
County is likewise strongly urged to reject removal of governing
authority for solid waste disposal from the Solid Waste Authority
of Palm Beach County, or to permit the restructuring of the mem-
bership to shift the membership balance of the Solid Waste
Authority Board.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
Section 4. Copies of this Resolution shall be forwarded
' by the Village Clerk to members of the Board of County Commissioners
and the Legislative Delegation.
