1990-33 Interjurisdictional Incompatibilities of NPB Comp PlanABSOLUTION NO. 33-90
A RESOLUTION OF THB VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, TRANSMITTING THE RESPONSE OF THS VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH TO FINDINGS MADE BY THS PALM BEACH COUNTYWIDE PLANNING
t COUNCIL AS TO THE POTENTIAL INTERJURISDICTIONAL INCOMPATIBILITIES
OF THE NORTH PALM BEACH ADOPTED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 7.8 of the Palm Beach County
Charter, the Palm Beach Countywide Planning Council has advised the
village of North Palm Beach of its findings in regard to the
potential interjurisdictional incompatibilities of the Village of
North Palm Beach Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Village of North Palm Beach has reviewed the
findings of the Countywide Planning Council; and
WHEREAS, Section 7.8 of the County Charter provides that
affected local governments shall be given an opportunity to respond
in writing to the Planning Council regarding the incompatibilities,
' which the Planning Council shall then consider and evaluate.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Village of North Palm
Beach as follows:
section i. The Village of North Palm Beach hereby
transmits to the Palm Beach Countywide Planning Council the
responses attached and marked Attachment A, Mapped Response Form
and Attachment B, Policy Response Form in regard to the Planning
Council's finding of potential lnterjurisdictional
incompatibilities.
Section 2. The attached "policy potential
interjurisdictional incompatibilities" report forms have been
completed indicating the Village's response to the same;
' notwithstanding the position of the Village that the subject matter
of these policy incompatibilities is beyond the jurisdiction and
authority of the Planning Council as described in the County
Charter of Palm Beach. By responding with page and policy numbers
to certain of the categories on the response forms, the Village
does not consent to or acknowledge the jurisdiction of the Palm
Beach Countywide Planning Council in these areas, but specifically

reserves the right to question the jurisdiction and/or authority of
the Palm Beach Countywide Planning Council with regard to all
policies now and in the future.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon transmittal.
