A RBSOLUTION OF THE VILLAOB COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR A WATER RSSOURCBS PLAN AS PROPOSED
BY THB NORTHERN PALM BEACH COUNTY WATER CONTROL DISTRICT AND
' PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Loxahatchee River is threatened by saltwater
intrusion which is also threatening the water supply for our
neighbors in northern Palm Beach County and southern Martin County,
and
WHEREAS, the Water Resources Plan as proposed by the Northern
Palm Beach County Water Control District will benefit the entire
seacoast Utility service area; and
WHEREAS, the Village of North Palm Beach is a part of this
service area,
NOW, THBRBFORS, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THB
VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Village Council of the Village of North
Palm Beach, Florida, on behalf of the citizens end taxpayers of the
Village of North Palm Beach, hereby expresses its support for the
Water Resources Plan as proposed by the Northern Palm Beach County
Water Control District in the Loxahatchee River Basin Water
Resources Plan, prepared by Dames and Moor and dated March 17,
1989.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
READ AND ADOPTED THIS 14TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1989.
