A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
NAAfING THE MEETING ROOM OF THE NORTH PALM BEACH LIBRARY IN HONOR OF ONE OF ITS
FOUNDERS AND CONTINUED SUPPORTERS.

WHEREAS, the North Palm Beach Library was formed twenty-five years ago
through the help of the then AAUW President, THELMA OBERT; and
WHEREAS, the existing library structure was built twenty years ago
through promotional efforts by citizens such as THELMA OBERT; and
WHEREAS, through THELMA OBERT'S efforts the AAUW has continually
supported the library in finance and service; and
WHEREAS, Tk}ELMA OBERT has served on the Library Advisory Board for
approximately two decades; and
WHEREAS, the library meeting roam has been a place where THELMA OBERT
has led and attended many meetings; and
WHEREAS, the community owes a debt of service to THELMA OBERT for her
' contributions to the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That on the occasion of the Twentieth Anniversary of the
Ground Breaking of the North Palm Beach Library, the Village Council of North
Palm Beach bestow honor on THELMA OBERT by naming the meeting room of the
library the OBF.RT MEETING ROOM.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
passage.
