A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
CREATING A COUNTRY CLUB STUDY COMMITTEE; SETTING FORTH THE COMPOSITION OF SAID
' COMMITTEE AND THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF SAID COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, there will be a comprehensive study of the North Palm Beach
Country Club commencing this summer; and
WHEREAS, we need a group of persons who could coordinate the community
input during the study and act ae the sounding board of residents, other
recreation areas, and country club activities; and
WHEREAS, this committee would hold such committee and public meetings
ae may be necessary and interact with our Consultant, National Golf Foundation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVBD BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. There is hereby created a Country Club Study Committee to
' be known hereafter as the Committee.
Section 2. Said Committee shall be composed of the following nine (9)
persons, all of whom are residents of the Village and each of whom shall hold
office for the term of the study. Their term will expire upon acceptance of the
National Golf Foundation report, or at each time as released by the Council.
However, any person may be removed at any time by a majority vote of the Village
Council and in the event of a vacancy the Village Council shall appoint a
successor to the Committee.

Section 3. The Village Clerk shall notify the Committee members of
their appointment and shall call a meeting of the Committee within ten (10) days
from the date of this Resolution. At the first meeting the Village Manager and
' the Mayor shall outline the purpose and responsibilities of the Committee and
the Mayor shall preside at she meeting until the Committee shall organize and
elect frao its members a chairman, vice-chairman and secretary.
Section 4. Meetings of the Committee shall be held at the call of the
chairman or such other times as the Committee may determine, but in no event
shall the Committee meet less often than once a month. Meetings of the
Committee shall be open to the public and the time and place of the meetings
shall be announced sufficiently. in advance to notify the public. Notices of
meetings shall be posted on appropriate bulletin boards throughout the Village
of North Palm Beach. The Committee shall keep minutes of its proceedings
showing the vote of each member upon each question and shall keep records of its
official actions, all of which shall be properly filed in the office of the
' Village Clerk and shall be a public record. The Committee may establish such
rules and regulations as it may deem necessary in the conduct of its meetings
and in lieu thereof Roberts Rules of Order shall be used.
Section S. The Country Club Study Committee shall be .advisory to the
Village Council and shall have no official powers except those specifically
prescribed in this Resolution. Any advice, recommendations or other matters by
the Committee shall be subordinate to the control of the Village Council.
Section 6. The Committee shall exercise and perform the following
powers and duties:
A. Work directly with the National Golf Foundation.
B. Serve ae the liaison for the Village of North Palm Beach and
provide input ae to the problems, needs, improvements, facilities
and long range planning, and goals of the Village, as it relates
to the North Palm Beach Country Club and its usage.
' Section 7. Members of the Country Club Study Committee shall
serve without canpensation and any expenses to be incurred by the Committee
shall be first approved by the Village Manager prior to any canmitmente.

Section 8. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
passage.
