A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2020-17 AND
MODIFYING THE DEPUTY POLICE CHIEF'S COMPENSATION; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Ordinance No. 2020-17 on February 13, 2020, the Village Council
amended the Comprehensive Pay Plan to create the Deputy Police Chief position, assign the position a
pay grade and modify the range for merit increases; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending certain modifications to the merit increase range
and compensation for the Deputy Police Chief; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best interests
of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby amends Resolution No. 2020-17 to modify the merit increase
range for the position of Deputy Police Chief from 2% to 7% to 2% to 5%. Additionally, the Deputy
Police Chief shall receive compensation equivalent to a 10% increase in salary retroactive to February
13, 2020 and his anniversary date shall be changed to February 13th for future merit performance reviews
in accordance with the Village's personnel policies and procedures.
Section 3. All other provisions of the Comprehensive Pay Plan and Resolution No. 2020-17, to the
extent not specifically modified herein, shall remain in full force andpffect as originally adopted.
