A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
REACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE PERSONNEL REGULATIONS BY ESTABLISHING A LONGEVITY
PAY POLICY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Personnel Regulations of the Village of North Palm
Beach are hereby amended to read as follows:
"9A. LONGEVITY PAY
9A.01 General Polic The Village Council establishes the Longevity Pay
o icy.
9A.02 Eligibility Requirements: In order to be eligible for longevity pay, an
employee sha have been continuously and actively employed by the Village. Set
forth below are certain specific rules to be used in determining eligibility for
longevity pay:
1. Longevity pay benefits are determined from the date the employee
was most recently placed on the Village payroll.
2. To receive longevity pay the employee must be employed by the Village
on his/her anniversary date.
3. If this day falls on a Saturday, then Friday will be considered as the
anniversary date. If it falls on a Sunday, then Monday will be the
anniversary date.
4.
Permanent part-time employees, those grandfathered in by Council !,
action, shall earn longevity in accordance with the schedule in Section'
9A.03 in proportion to the number of work hours normally scheduled; for.
example, a 30 hour part-time employee in a 35 hour department shall
receive 30/35 of the schedule indicated in Section 9A.03.
9A.03 Amount of Pay:
1. $300.00 shall be paid to each employee on their anniversary date if
they have completed three years of continuous employment.

i' 2. $600.00 shall be paid to each employee on their anniversary date if
they have completed six years of continuous employment.

! 3. $900.00 shall be paid to each employee on their anniversary date if
they have completed nine years of continuous employment.
~~ 4. $1200.00 shall be paid to each employee on their anniversary date if
they have completed twelve years of continuous employment.
'19A.04 Method of Payment: The eligible employee will be paid by check on

Section 2. All parts of the Personnel Regulations of the Village of
North Palm Beach in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
