Saturday, August 17th will be a
big day for North Palm Beach
residents because they are
celebrating 40th Anniversary as an
incorporated village.
Festivities will begin at 10:30 a.m.
at Lakeside Park off Lakeside Drive.
Former Mayor Judy M. Pierman and
her committee --especially JoAnn
Montgomery and Dolores Kurtz --have
worked hard to organize a program that
begins with the dedication of 14 marine
and bird, wood sculptures at the park.
'This is an interesting project that I
have worked on with Joyce and Ray
Lilly and Sam Golden," Pierman said.

• There will be a dedication of the
Lakeside Park sculptures at 10:30
am on, Saturday.
• The Al McKenna Orchestra will
perform at 11 am.
• The cutting of the Birthday Cake,
will take place 'at 11:30 am.
• From 12 noon to -2:30 pm, there
will.. be hamburgers, hot dogs,
drinks, and fun activities.
In ., the -event ,of. rain, these
ceremonies will be :. held at = the
North Palm Beach Community
Center on Prosperity Farms Road.
• A', Tennis mixed doubles,
tournament will begin at,3 `pm on ,
Saturday at the'North Palm Beach

on Sunday. .Entry fee is $21 'per

members) and includes 18 holes of

A PELICAN SCULPTURE IN
LAKESIDE PARK is part of a
display that was dedicated at North
Palin Beach's 40th anniversary
