Dear Visitor:
Welcome to the "1956 PARADE OF HOMES" sponsored by the
Home Builders Association of Palm Beach County. We are honored
that the Association has chosen the Village of North Palm Beach
as the setting for this magnificent achievement.
The Village of North Palm Beach was incorporated by a
Special Act of the Florida Legislature on August 13, 1956. The
Village Hall and Administration building is now under construction
and will be completed about December 1, 1956.
North Palm Beach Utilities.Ince has completed con-
struction of the new water treatment and sewage disposal plants
that will serve the Village, and the developers are proceeding
rapidly with the improvement work on the first 500 homesites. A
complete storm drainage system ha -s been installed, sewer, water
and gas lines are being laid, and street paving is underway.
A site for a primary school has been donated by the de-
velopers to the School Board. Necessary funds will be allocated
by the Board so that this school will be built by the fall term of
1957. The nearest school at present is about a mile from the
Village in nearby Lake Park, and school bus service will be made
available.
The North Palm Beach Country Club will reopen for the
season as a semi -private course. A well known golf course architect
has been retained to redesign and rebuild the course, and this work
will be started during the coming year. Membership on a preferred
basis will be offered Village residents.
Builders now participating in the "PARADE OF HOMES" can
furnish you with homes on sites in the Village. They will shortly
be joined by other nationally known builders who are planning ex-
tensive construction programs*
The developers will offer a limited number of building
sites for sale to individuals who desire to plan their own homes*
They will also develop water front sites which will be offered for
public sale. Information may be obtained at the Village Hall after
