A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
VIRTUALIZATION HARDWARE FROM DELL COMPUTERS PURSUANT
TO PRICING ESTABLISHED BY A FLORIDA STATE CONTRACT FOR
COMPUTER EQUIPMENT; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
MAYOR AND VILLAGE CLERK TO AMEND THE CAPITAL PROJECTS
FUND BUDGET TO TRANSFER $62,150.00 FROM THE CAPITAL
RESERVE ACCOUNT TO THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY —
MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT CAPITAL ACCOUNT; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Information Technology Department requested the purchase of Virtualization
Hardware (in the form of two physical servers, a drive array and fiber switches) from Dell
Computers pursuant to pricing established in State of Florida Contract No. 43211500-WSCA-15-
ACS for Computer Equipment, which incorporates a Master Agreement executed by the
National Association of State Procurement Officials Cooperative Procurement Program; and
WHEREAS, the Village's purchasing policies and procedures authorize concurrent competitive
purchases utilizing pricing established in current cooperative purchasing contracts; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council seeks to amend the current Capital Projects Fund budget to
transfer $62,150.00 from the Capital Reserve Account to the Information Technology —
Machinery and Equipment Capital Account to fund the purchase of the equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of Virtualization Hardware,
consisting of two new Dell physical servicers, a SCV3020 drive array and fiber switches, from
Dell Computers pursuant to pricing established in State of Florida Contract No. 43211500-
WSCA-I5-ACS for Computer Equipment at a total cost of $62,149.36, with funds expended
from Account No. K5004-66490 (IT — Machinery & Equipment).
Section 3. In order to fund this expenditure, the Village Council hereby approves a budget
amendment for the transfer of funds as indicated below and authorizes and directs the Mayor and
Village Clerk to execute the following budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of
North Palm Beach:

Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
