A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF OUTDOOR FITNESS EQUIPMENT
FOR THE COMMUNITY CENTER FROM PLAYMORE WEST, INC. D/B/A
PLAYMORE RECREATIONAL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES PURSUANT
TO PRICING ESTABLISHED IN AN EXISTING MANATEE COUNTY
SCHOOL DISTRICT CONTRACT FOR PARK AND PLAYGROUND
EQUIPMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Village Staff is requesting the purchase and installation of Energi Fitness and
Wellness System outdoor fitness equipment for the Community Center from Playmore West, Inc.
d/b/a Playmore Recreational Products and Services pursuant to pricing established in an existing
Manatee County School District Contract for Park and Playground Equipment (Contract No. 16-
0025 -MR); and
WHEREAS, the purchase utilizes Recreational Trail Program (RTP) grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution, including the
waiver of the purchasing policies and procedures applicable to the effective date of the Manatee
County School District Contract, is in the best interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase and installation of Energi
Fitness and Wellness System outdoor fitness equipment for the Community Center from
Playmore West, Inc. d/b/a Playmore Recreational Products and Services pursuant to pricing
established in an existing Manatee County School District Contract for Park and Playground
Equipment (Contract No. 16 -0025 -MR). The total amount expended for this purchase shall not
exceed $32,113.55, with funds expended from Account No. U8025-66210 (Recreation Grant
Fund — Community Center Construction and Major Renovation).
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
