A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2019-82 TO
PROVIDE FOR THE PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL OFFICE AND MEETING
ROOM FURNITURE FOR THE COUNTRY CLUB CLUBHOUSE FROM
BERWIN, INC. D/B/A J.C. WHITE OFFICE FURNITURE PURSUANT TO
PRICING ESTABLISHED BY STATE CONTRACT; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution No. 2019-82 on August 22, 2019, the Village
Council approved the purchase of HON office and meeting room furniture for the new Country
Club clubhouse from Berwin, Inc. d/b/a J.C. White Office Furniture pursuant to pricing established
in State of Florida Term Contract No. 425-001-12-1 (Office Furniture and Files); and
WHEREAS, Village Staff is requesting an amendment to Resolution No. 2019 to purchase an
additional lateral file and credenza for the new Country Club clubhouse; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution, including the
waiver of the purchasing policies and procedures applicable to the effective date of the state
contract, is in the best interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby amends Resolution No. 2019-82 to provide for the
purchase of additional office and meeting room furniture for the new Country Club clubhouse from
Berwin, Inc. d/b/a J.C. White Office Furniture pursuant to pricing established in State of Florida
Term Contract No. 425-001-12-1 (Office Furniture and Files) at a cost not to exceed $2,118.11.
The total amount expended for this purchase shall not exceed $30,418.11, with funds expended
from Account No. K7600-66210 (Clubhouse Project — Construction and Major Renovation).
Section 3. All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
