1978-15 Authorizing the Manager to Apply to PBC City Recrational Funding Program for the Construction of Two Lighted Raquet Ball Courts~- w RESOLUTION N0. 15-78 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM REACH, ~I u 1'I.ORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO APPLY TO THE PALM REACIi COUNTY CITY RECREATIONAL FUNDING PROGRAM, FISCAL YEAR 1977/78, FOR MATCHING I'UNDS 1'0 BE USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO LIGHTF,D RACQUET BALL/I{ANDBALL COURTS AT OSBORNE PARK IN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH. BF, IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM RF.AC11, FLORIDA: Section 1. The construction of two lighted racquet ball/ handball courts at Osborne Park at a cost of $25,000.00 is hereby ap- proved by the Village Council of North Palm Beach. Section 2. The Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to submit an application to the Palm Beach County City Recreational Funding Program, Fiscal Year 1977/78, for matching funds in the amount of $12,500.00 and to segregate in an escrow account the sum of $1.2,500.00 matching funds by the Village of North Palm Reach to be used for said construction project. Size of Area in Acres: 8.47 acres overall 9. Brief Justification Narrative: Master plan of Osborne Park includes 4 concrete handball/racquetball courts. The park is ~an eztrernety active park 'serVing app"roximately 6,000 persons residing in the western area of North Palm Beach. Courts are to be lighted to provide maximum time usage for all ages of players. Play is to be on a no-fee basis with supervision by the North Palm Beach Recreation Department and maintained by the North Palm Beach Public Services Department. 5.
