Section 1. The State of Florida Department of Transportation

is hereby urged to urbanize U. S. Highway No. 1 from Parker Bridge in
the Village of North Palm Beach to P,G,A, Boulevard in view of the
rapid growth of substantial condominium developments in that area,
including Old Port Cove and other major condominium developments, and
in further view of the substantial amount of automobile and pedestrain
trafi'ic generated by the growth in this area, which has changed a
previously rural oriented area to an urban area in need of total urban
facilities.
Section 2. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed
to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the District Director
of the Department of Transportation, Fort Lauderdale, I'lorida, to
the Mayor of the City of Palm Beach Gardens, and to the Chairman of
the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 23RD DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1978.
