A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING JESSICA GREEN
TO SERVE AS VILLAGE CLERK; PROVIDING FOR THE VILLAGE
CLERK'S COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Article IV, Section 8 of the Village Charter provides that the Village Council shall
appoint a Village Clerk for an indefinite term by a majority vote of all of the Council members, and
that the Council shall establish the Village Clerk's compensation; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby appoints Jessica Green to serve as Village Clerk and to
exercise all powers and perform all duties prescribed by the Village Charter.
Section 3. The Village Council hereby establishes an annual salary of $85,000 for the Village
Clerk. The Village Clerk shall be paid in the same manner as all other Village employees. The
Village Clerk shall be entitled to the same benefits generally afforded other Department Heads
employed by the Village, provided, however, that the Village Clerk serves at the pleasure of the
Village Council and may be removed by a majority vote of all of the Council members.
Section 4. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby
repealed to extent of such conflict.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
