A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A PAYMENT TO WASTE
PRO OF FLORIDA, INC. FOR REMOVAL OF PAVERS AT THE NORTH
PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB POOL; WAIVING THE VILLAGE'S
PURCHASING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Council approved the installation of new pavers on the pool deck at
the North Palm Beach Country Club through a change order to the Village's contract with
The Weitz Co.; and
WHEREAS, the change order did not include removal of the old pavers, and due to time constraints
and other factors, the Village utilized Waste Pro of Florida, Inc. to provide dumpsters for the removal
of the old pavers without obtaining written quotes as generally required by the Village's purchasing
policies and procedures; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves a payment to Waste Pro of Florida, Inc. for
services provided at the North Palm Beach Country Club pool in the amount of $12,662.61, with
funds expended from Account No. K7600-66210 (Country Club Clubhouse Project — Construction
and Major Renovation). In approving this payment, the Village Council hereby waives the
written quote requirement of the Village's purchasing policies and procedures.
Section 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
