A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING FORD MOTOR CREDIT
COMPANY, LLC TO TRANSFER FUNDS TO BARTOW FORD CO. FOR
THE LEASE OF TWO UNMARKED FORD F150 PICK UP TRUCKS
PURSUANT TO PRICING ESTABLISHED IN AN EXISTING CHARLOTTE
COUNTY CON'T'RACT; AUTHORIZING AN ADDITIONAL PAYMENT TO
BARTOW FORD FOR THE DIFFERENCE IN VEHICLE PRICE; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution 2018-88 on October 18, 2018, the Village Council
accepted a proposal from Ford Motor Credit Company, LLC for the lease of twelve vehicles from
Garber Ford, Inc. pursuant to pricing established in a State Term Contract; and
WHEREAS, two of the vehicles were unmarked Interceptor SUV's (which were switched to Ford
F150 pick ups because Ford stopped production of the SUV's) for use by the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the Village encountered numerous issues with Garber Ford, including long lead times
and the delivery of the wrong vehicles, and sought approval from Ford Motor Credit Company, LLC
to utilize the funds for vehicles from a different dealership; and
WHEREAS, Staff is recommending that the Village Council authorize Ford Motor Credit to
transfer the funds to Bartow Ford Co. for the lease of two unmarked Ford F150 pick up trucks
available for immediate delivery utilizing pricing in an existing Charlotte County Contract
(Bid No. 2018000509, Vehicles — Annual Contract); and
WHEREAS, because the vehicles from Bartow Ford have additional features than the vehicles
previously selected, the Village will be required to make an additional one-time payment; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby authorizes Ford Motor Credit Company, LLC to
transfer $49,862.00 to Bartow Ford for the lease of two unmarked Ford F150 Pick Up Trucks
utilizing pricing established in an existing Charlotte County Contract (Bid No. 2018000509).
The Village Council further authorizes an additional payment to Bartow Ford in the amount of
$2,852.50 for the difference in price (from the vehicles previously leased from Garber Ford),
with funds expended from Account No. A5711-66410 (Police — Automotive).

Section 3. Subject to review by the Village Attorney as to form and legal sufficiency, the
Village Council authorizes the Village Manager to execute all documents necessary to effectuate
this transaction.
Section 4. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
