A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE
UNMARKED 2019 FORD F150 SUPER CREW PICK UP FROM BARTOW FORD
PURSUANT TO PRICING ESTABLISHED IN AN EXISTING CHARLOTTE
COUNTY CONTRACT AND EQUIPPED BY DANA SAFETY SUPPLY
PURSUANT TO PRICING ESTABLISHED IN AN EXISTING CITY OF
TAMPA CONTRACT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village declared a 2018 Ford Taurus as surplus property after it was involved in
an accident and the Village's insurance carrier declared it a total loss, and the Village recovered
a total of $34,050.00 for the surplused vehicle; and
WHEREAS, as a replacement vehicle, Village Staff recommended the purchase of one 2019 unmarked
Ford F150 Super Crew Pick Up Truck from Bartow Ford pursuant to pricing established in an
existing Charlotte County Contract (No. 18-509 Vehicles — Annual Contract) and the purchase of
the police lights/safety package from Dana Safety Supply pursuant to pricing established in an
existing City of Tampa Contract (Spec No. 2-18, Light Bars and Accessories with Installation); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution, including the
waiver of any conflicting purchasing policies and procedures, is in the best interests of the
Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of one 2019 unmarked Ford
F150 Super Crew Pick Up Truck from Bartow Ford pursuant to pricing established in an existing
Charlotte County Contract (No. 18-509 Vehicles — Annual Contract) and the purchase of the
police lights/safety package from Dana Safety Supply pursuant to pricing established in an
existing City of Tampa Contract (Spec No. 2-18, Light Bars and Accessories with Installation).
The total amount expended for this vehicle shall not exceed $31,013.60, with funds expended
from Account No. A5711-66410 (Police — Automotive).
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
