TOPICS PROGRAM.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORT}{ PALM BEACH,
FLORIllA:
Section 1. The Change Order of SIGNAL CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY, copy of which is attached to this Resolution, is hereby
accepted by the Village of North Palm Beach in accordance with its
terms. The appropriate Village officials are hereby directed to
advise said vendor of this acceptance. The monies are to be expended
i'rom Account No. 14-405.1.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon passage.

Dear Mr. O'Melia,
Per your request, we are pleased to quote as follows for equipment
changes at Northlake and U.S.-1 in North Palm Beach in connection
with the above contract.
Furnish and install in lieu of the specified
equipment a new 8~ controller complete with
ped features,necessary detectors, conflict
monitor telementary equipment etc. per the
original contract except to include 8~ operation $5,461.00
This amount will be in addition to our regular contract with the
Department of Transportation which will not be effected by this trans-
action. A copy of the Supplemental Agreement between our company and
the DOT is included for your information since we requested that the
DOT furnish us with the necessary release to accomplish this change.
It will be necessary to advise us immediately as to your acceptance of
this so that we can proceed to order this equipment and avoid delay on
the project.
It is our understanding that no additional loops will be required to
effect an 8~ operation as this work has been previously accomplished
and if you are planning to have Palm Beach County install the necessary
additional loops on Shore Court.
We have examaned.the intersection with respect to converting they "R"
configuration to Box configuration.and believe it is practical if the
sight distance of 140' from the west approach can be accepted.
In the event that you elect to have this intersection changed to a Box

construction to clean up its appearance and simplify the signalizstion
pattern, please add an additional $2,000. to the above price for this
work. This is hased.on reusing the existing heads and furnishing new
cables and other equipment as required to complete the Box intersection.
We would appreciate an immediate response
