A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A PAYMENT TO
PRECISION LANDSCAPE COMPANY OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, INC.
FOR DRAINAGE REPAIRS AT THE NORTH PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB;
WAIVING THE VILLAGE'S PURCHASING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village failed to include a problem area where water accumulates between the tees
at Hole 18 as part of the North Palm Beach Country Club golf course renovation project; and
WHEREAS, the Village obtained a quote from its landscape maintenance contractor,
Precision Landscaping of Palm Beach County, Inc. ("Precision") to perform the remedial actions
recommended by the Village's agronomist and Nicklaus Design; and
WHEREAS, due to time constraints and other factors, the Village authorized Precision to complete
the work at a total cost of $19,960.00 without adhering to the Village's purchasing policies and
procedures; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution, including a waiver
of the purchasing policies and procedures generally applicable to purchases in excess of $10,000, is
in the best interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
_- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves a payment to Precision Landscape Company
of Palm Beach County, Inc. for work performed at the North Palm Beach Country Club
golf course in the amount of $19,960.00, with funds expended from Account No. L8045- 66210
(Golf Course Maintenance — Construction and Major Renovation).
Section 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
