1975-41 Creating a Bicentennial CommitteeRESOLUTION N0. 41-75 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, CREATING A BICENTENNIAL COhP7ITTEE FOR THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH TO ASSIST THE VILLAGE AND ITS RESIDENTS IN CELEBRATING THE TWO ][UNDREDT}{ ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. BF, IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA Section 1. A Bicentennial Committee is hereby created by the Village Council for the purpose of assisting the municipal government and the residents of the Village of North Palm Beach in their celebration of the two hundredth anniversary of the United States of America. Section 2. The Committee shall consist of five members appointed by the Village Council to advise and consult with proper State, Federal and Municipal officials concerning celebrations, events and observances to be ]told in the Village of North Palm Beach during the year 1976 in celebration oi' two hundred years of self-government by the people of the United States of America. To that end, they shall make such recommendations concerning activities, programs and other observances as they deem fit and proper for t}te Village's observance of the American Bicentennial. Section 3. The following persons are hereby appointed to serve on the Bicentennial Committee of the Village of North Palm Beach: Bernice Setnor H. Mallory Privett, Jr. Robert Lassett Thomas R. Bell Said persons shall serve through December 31, 1976. Section 4. The Bicentennial Committee shall meet originally upon the call of the Village Manager and shall elect its own Chairman and such other officers as are deemed necessary. The organization of the Committee, its meetings and its activities shall be determined by the Committee, provided that written reports of the activities of the Committee shall be made to the Village Council not less than quarterly from the date of passage of this Resolution. Section 5. The Village Clerk is directed to forward a copy of t}iis Resolution to each of the members of the Bicentennial Committee. Section 6.
