A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEAC}{~
FLORIDA, CREATING A TENNIS ADVISORY BOARD, SETTING FORTH ITS POWERS
AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PAIM BEAC}[,
FLORIllA:
Section 1. There is hereby created a Tennis Advisory Board
for the purpose of making recommendations to the Village Council con-
corning the use and operation of tennis facilities located within the
Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 2. Said Board shall be composed of five members appoint-
ed by the Village Council. Terms of office shall be for two years ending
April 15 of even numbered years for three members and ending April 15
of odd numbered years for two members. All members shall serve at the
pleasure of the Village Council.
Section 3. The Tennis Advisory Board shall organize and
elect from its members a chairman, a vice chairman and a secretary.
Section 4. Meetings of the Tennis Advisory Board shall be held
at the call of the chairman or as determined by the Board, but in no
event shall the meetings be less than bi-monthly. Meetings of the Board
shall be open to the public. The Board shall keep minutes of its meetings,
which shall be promptly transmitted to the Village Clerk and shall be
a public record.
Section 5. The Tennis Advisory Board shall make studies of
and review all tennis facilities and tennis requirements in the Village.
Based upon these studies and review the Board shall make recommendations
and prepare a list of programs and facilities, in priority order, for
the conduct of tennis activities on both a current and long-term basis.
Included. in its recommendations shall be programs for youth and adults,
tournaments, rules and regulations of play, dress, time, and such other
factors as will provide maximum enjoyment and use of the Village tennis
facilities by the general public.
Section 6. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
