A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PAIM BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT HIS WRITTEN CONCURRENCE
ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH IN DESIGNATING STATE ROAD
A-1-A THROUG}f T}{E VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH AS PART OF THE FEDERAL AID
URBAN SYSTEM.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized. and
directed to submit his written concurrence in the change of State Road
A-1-A within the limits of the Village of North Palm Beach from Federal
Ai.d Secondary Designation to Federal Aid Urban System Designation,
as per the request of the Florida Department of Transportation, Division
of Planning and Programming, dated November 27, 1973 a copy of which is
attached to this Resolution.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon passage.

Dear Mayor Privett:
The 1973 Federal-Aid Highway Act permits arterials to be
placed on Federal Aid Urban (FAU) system and also abolishes the
Federal Aid Secondary (FAS) in 1976 in urban areas.
State Road 74 in Palm Beach Gardens is presently on the
FAU system as is Blue Heron Boulevard in Riviera Beach west
of US 1. It is proposed that SR AIA connecting these two be in-
cluded in the system. The recommended shift would only effect
funding matters and would not effect the functional classification.
As Mayor your written concurrence in this system change is
required for that portion of SR AIA within the municipal boundaries
of North Palm I;each. Your favorable consideration would be
a pprcciatcd.
