A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A PAYMENT TO DRIVE
ON CART PATH SYSTEMS, LLC FOR REPAIRS TO GOLF CART PATHS
AT THE NORTH PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB; WAIVING THE
VILLAGE'S PURCHASING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village included additional cart paths and curbs as part of the North Palm Beach
Country Club golf course renovation project; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the completion of this work by Drive On Cart Path Systems, LLC, the
paths and curbing were damaged during the replacement of the irrigation pumps; and
WHEREAS, due to time constraints and other factors, the Village authorized Drive On Cart Paths
Systems, LLC to complete the repair work at a total cost of $28,791.34 without adhering to the
Village's purchasing policies and procedures; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution, including a waiver
of the purchasing policies and procedures generally applicable to purchases in excess of $25,000, is
in the best interests of the residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves a payment to Drive On Cart Path Systems, LLC
for repairs to the golf cart paths at the North Palm Beach County Club in the amount of
$28,791.34, with funds expended from Account No. L8045- 66210 (Golf Course Maintenance —
Construction and Major Renovation).
Section 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 24TH DAY OF JANUARY, 2019.
