A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE
2019 MACK TANDEM REFUSE TRUCK FROM NEXTRAN CORPORATION
D/B/A NEXTRAN TRUCK CENTER OF RIVIERA BEACH PURSUANT TO
AN EXISTING FLORIDA SHERIFF'S ASSOCIATION CONTRACT FOR
CAB AND CHASSIS TRUCKS AND OTHER FLEET EQUIPMENT;
DECLARING AN EXISTING SANITATION COLLECTION VEHICLE AS
SURPLUS PROPERTY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, during the Fiscal Year 2019 budget process, the Village council approved the
purchase of a new rear -load sanitation collection vehicle; and
WHEREAS, Village Staff recommended the purchase of one 2019 Mack Tandem Refuse Truck
from Nextran Corporation d/b/a Nextran Truck Center of Riviera Beach pursuant to
Specification No. 15 of an existing Florida Sheriff's Association Contract for Cab and Chassis
Trucks and Other Fleet Equipment (Contract No. FSA 18-VEH16.0); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council declares one existing 2002 sanitation collection vehicle as
surplus property; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of one 2019 Mack Tandem
Refuse Truck, equipped to Village specifications, from Nextran Corporation d/b/a Nextran Truck
Center of Riviera Beach pursuant to Specification No. 15 of an existing Florida Sheriff's
Association Contract for Cab and Chassis Trucks and Other Fleet Equipment (Contract No.
FSA18-VEH16.0) at a total cost of $216,963.00, with funds expended from Account No. A7020-
66410 (Sanitation — Automotive).
Section 3. Upon delivery, acceptance and placement into service of the new collection
vehicle, the Village Council declares the following vehicle as surplus property and authorizes its
disposal in accordance with Village policies and procedures:
2002 Freightliner FL80 Rear Load Garbage Truck #65 (VIN # I FYHBXAK43 HK475 7 1)
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
