A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
TWELVE (12) PHILIPS HEARTSTART ONSITE AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL
DEFIBRILLATORS FOR VILLAGE FACILITIES FROM THE AED CENTER, LLC;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Automatic External Defibrillators (AED's) located in Village facilities have
become obsolete and are no longer supported by the manufacturer; and
WHEREAS, the Village solicited written quotes for replacement AED's, and Village Staff
recommended accepting the lowest quote from The AED Center, LLC for twelve (12) Philips
HeartStart OnSite Automatic External Defibrillators with accessories; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of twelve (12) Philips Model
#M5066A-COI HeartStart Onsite Automatic External Defibrillators with accessories from
The AED Center, LLC at a total cost of $11,900.28, with funds expended from Account No.
A5812-35217 (Fire Rescue — Machinery & Equipment Supplies).
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
