R2018-89 Pool Chemicals Blanket PORESOLUTION 2018-89
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING A BLANKET PURCHASE
ORDER WITH COMMERCIAL ENERGY SPECIALISTS INC. IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $25,000.00 FOR POOL CHEMICALS UTILIZED BY THE
PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village's Purchasing Policies and Procedures authorize the use of blanket purchase
orders for materials purchased over a certain period of time not to exceed a single fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, blanket purchase orders in excess of $10,000 require approval by the Village Council; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration is recommending approval of a blanket purchase for $25,000
with Commercial Energy Specialists Inc. for the purchase of pool chemicals (sodium hypochlorite)
for use at the North Palm Beach Country Club pool; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution, including the
waiver of any purchasing policies and procedures otherwise applicable to this purchase, is in the
best interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the issuance of a blanket purchase order in
the amount of $25,000 with Commercial Energy Specialists Inc. for the purchase of pool chemicals,
with funds expended from General Fund Account No. A8051-35260 (Pool — Chemicals).
