Blaine Wise and Kelly Griffith Day
WHEREAS, many residents in our community are opening up their
hearts and wallets to donate to the American Red Cross bringing cash relief to
the survivors affected by the December 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami; and
WHEREAS, Blaine Wise and cousin, Kelly Griffith, both 11 year old
residents of North Palm Beach who were concerned about seeing children in
the affected areas wandering around lost, felt the need to contribute; and
WHEREAS, they set up a roadside stand outside the home of Kelly
Griffith and offered stuffed animals from her collection to passersby in
exchange for cash donations; and
WHEREAS, Blaine Wise and Kelly Griffith, collected over $1,200 in cash
and delivered a check in that amount to the local Red Cross Chapter; and
WHEREAS, these two young North Palm Beach residents have shown their
humanitarian spirit through their unselfish efforts.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Donald G. Noel, by virtue of the authority vested in
me as Mayor of the Village of North Palm Beach, do hereby proclaim Friday,
January 28, 2005
Blaine Mise and Kelly Griffith Day
in the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal
