NATIONAL RADIO DAY
WHEREAS, National Radio Day is a time to honor one of the most longstanding electronic media and its role
in our everyday lives; and
WHEREAS, radio delivers information, news entertainment, and company to millions of Americans every
hour of every day; and
WHEREAS, Legends Radio serves the public and is an important resource for 24/7 information,
communication and enriching entertainment; and
WHEREAS, Legends Radio is a trusted and integral part of the community, not only serving its listeners, but
spotlighting area businesses, supporting the arts and enhancing the cultural landscape; and
WHEREAS, Legends Radio empowers local non -profits and government services to reach and impact
listeners with valuable information ranging from health insight, educational outreach and hurricane
preparedness through the "Legends Community Focus" program; and
WHEREAS, Legends Radio contributes to the economic vibrancy of the community through live, local events
and creative opportunities for businesses to showcase their products and services; and
WHEREAS, Legends Radio is committed to the North Palm Beach/Palm Beach County community and
reaches Great American Songbook fans around the world utilizing the most current technology available; and
WHEREAS, the Village of North Palm Beach recognizes the contributions of Legends Radio to our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, David B. Norris, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the Village of
North Palm Beach, do hereby proclaim August 20, 2018 as
NATIONAL RADIO DAY
in the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, and invite our citizens and the listeners, broadcasters, producers,
and staff of Legends Radio to celebrate on August 20th.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the Village of North
