T}{}; 1.969 FLORIDA LEGISLATURE NOT TO BEGIN UNTIL THE YEAR 1971.
W}{EREAS, Florida State Legislature in House Bill 1082
provided }'or the assessment and collection of municipal taxes by the
County 1'ax Assessor and County Tax Collector in either calendar year
1969, 1970 or 1971 at the election of those municipalities having a
different fiscal year from that of the County.
W}{EREAS, the fiscal year of Palm Beach County begins October
1 of each year and the fiscal year of the Village of North Palm Reach
begins November 1 of each year, and therefore, the Village of North
Yalm Reach has a different fiscal year than that of Palm Beach County.
W}[F,RF,AS, the Village of North Palm Beach desires to do its
own assessing and collecting for as long as the Florida State Legis-
lature will permit it, now, therefore,

Section 1. That the Village of North Palm Beach elects
to assess and collect its own taxes for the years 1969 and 1970,
and elects to have the Palm Beach County Tax Assessor assess and the
Palm Beach County Tax Collector collect all taxes within the Village
of North Palm Beach pursuant to House Bill 1082 of the 1969 Florida
hegislature beginning in the calendar year 1971.
Section 2. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to furnish
ei copy of this Resolution to the Palm Beach County Tax Assessor and
the Palm Beach County Tax Collector by registered mail, return receipt
requested.
