17,ORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE RUN-OFF ELECTION HELD ON
MARC}[ 25, 1969.
r WH};REAS, on the 25th day of March, 1969 a run-off election
was held in the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida for the purpose
of electing a Councilman to the Village Council for Group 2, and
WI{EREAS, by due resolution the following named persons
were appointed Inspectors and Clerks of said election:
Precinct No. 48, Faith Lutheran Church:
Inspectors: Mrs. Grete McBride
Mrs. Virginia Tracy
Mrs. Lois Booth
Mrs. Faye Lucas
Clerk: Mrs. Elizabeth Redding
Precinct No. 49, North Palm Beach Elementary School:
Inspectors: Mrs.
Mr.
Mrs.

Clerk: Mrs.

WHF,REAS, on March 25, 1969 said Inspectors and Clerks, after
taking and subscribing their oaths in accordance with law, made their
returns to the Village Council, which returns certified that the
following is the resnnlt of said run-off election, to-wit-
Total Machine Votes: 698
Sotal Absentee Votes: 16
For Vi1l.age Councilman, Group 2: (2 year term)
James E. Taylor received 275 votes
Herbert A. Watt received 439 votes
and,
WHEREAS, the Village Council has duly canvassed the returns
oi' said Run-off Election and finds that the returns of the Inspectors
and Clerks of said election are true and correct tabulations of the votes
cast;
NOW, THF.REFORF,, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FhORIDA:
Section 1. The Village Council finds and declares that
the following is the result of the Run-off Election of March 25, 1969:

James F.. Taylor received 275 votes
1{erbert A. Watt received 439 votes
Section 2. That the following candidate is hereby declared
to be elected to the office of Village Councilman, Group 2•
